3C Payment today announced EMV certification of its 3C POS Verifone VX820 & VX680 terminal devices with Elavon a leading global payment provider. The certification allows for the 3C POS Verifone PCI 3.x terminals with full contactless capability to be deployed in Hospitality and Retail outlets across Europe on the Elavon International platform.
The 3C POS Verifone solution integrates with leading POS & PMS providers and allows for both a wired pay@counter deployment with a Vx820 device or a wireless portable mobile option with the Vx680. Both terminal types utilize the new innovative 3C POS solution which allows 3C’s own Integra Payment Application to reside on the merchant workstation and communicate with the Verifone PinPad . Thanks to the SRED (Secure Reading) capability of the terminal all cardholder data passing through the merchant estate is fully encrypted.
"We are delighted to further enhance the partnership between 3C and Elavon through certification of our 3C POS Verifone range. Our mutual Pan-European customers will benefit greatly from a wider choice of terminal devices offering innovative, secure transactional features with multiple deployment options across hospitality and Retail industries” – Paul Musgrave, Head of Product Development.
Transactional features for the new 3C POS solution include Online PIN capability which conforms to relevant European processing requirements in addition to enhanced offline trading features in the event of network failure. The offline capability has been designed to take into account the requirements of Quick Service customers where continuous trading is of utmost importance. The connection to the merchant workstation can provide both Serial (USB or RS232) and TCP/IP connectivity allowing for flexible deployment options.
The first confirmed customers on the new 3C POS Verifone and Elavon certification have begun trading in July 2017 in the UK and the Netherlands.
