3C Payment today announced that it has achieved Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) status of its 3C Integra Payment solution which has been independently validated to meet the Payment Card Industry (PCI) P2PE Solution standard.
This validation includes the six control domains for P2PE which together ensure secure terminal key injection, encryption management, transit and decryption of transactions for authorization. The validation which was conducted by QSA Advantio Ltd, confirmed that 3C Payment’s P2PE solution has met the rigorous controls defined for the protection of payment card data.
PCI Point-to-Point-Encryption (P2PE) protects sensitive payment card data from the point that it is read at the terminal and through transit to the payment processor, ensuring that valuable card holder data never enters a merchant’s network. With a P2PE solution, cardholder data is field-level encrypted inside the SRED card reader, making it useless and void of any value if an attack is attempted. As a result, P2PE provides the most secure and effective way to protect sensitive cardholder data, whilst significantly reducing the costs and scope of PCI-DSS and PA-DSS to merchants.
“This is a significant milestone in the history of 3C Payment and demonstrates our commitment to offering the highest level of payment security to our customers”, commented Tim Goodwin Chief Operating Officer of 3C Payment.
“3C clients are already benefiting from encryption of card data on our PCI compliant payment devices in addition to utilizing our secure tokenization services. The independent P2PE validation and listing of our solution ensures that 3C clients can have complete confidence in safeguarding all their cardholder data.”
3C Payment provides clients with a proactive managed service that compliments the full P2PE payment solution. This includes a full cross channel tokenization service called 3C Vault which replaces card numbers with a unique token. The token allows merchants to securely store card data for card on file Payment Wallet solutions or for recurring payments in both card present and card not present environments.
