3C Payment today announced that it has achieved Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) status of its 3C POS Verifone VX820 & VX680 terminal devices, which have been independently validated to meet the Payment Card Industry (PCI) P2PE Solution standard. This new validation allows for the 3C POS Verifone terminals to be deployed in Hospitality and Retail outlets across Europe with full P2PE.
This follows on from the successful P2PE validation of the 3C Integra Worldline range terminals in July 2017.
PCI Point-to-Point-Encryption (P2PE) protects sensitive payment card data from the point that it is read at the terminal and through transit to the payment processor, ensuring that valuable card holder data never enters a merchant’s network. P2PE provides the most secure and effective way to protect sensitive cardholder data, whilst significantly reducing the costs and scope of PCI-DSS and PA-DSS to merchants.
“We are delighted to further enhance the 3C product portfolio by offering our clients a validated P2PE solution with our 3C POS Verifone VX solution.” commented Craig Borrett Head of Product Management for 3C Payment.
“Our 3C POS solution is already proving highly successful, with market leading quick service restaurants benefiting from improved resilience and quicker transaction times. With our second P2PE validation in two months we are able to demonstrate our commitment to offering the highest level of payment security to all our clients.”
In addition to ensuring its solutions are independently P2PE validated, 3C Payment also provides expert consultancy on payment security as part of its service offering.
“The security of our transactional data and infrastructure is of the upmost importance to us. Whether our clients have concerns or questions over P2PE, PCI or how 3C can help with secure tokenization we offer consultancy services and business insight.” added Danny Heinen Head Systems Architecture & Compliance for 3C Payment
