3C Payment completes EMV certification for the US market

3C Payment today announced an addition to its product proposition in the US, through certification of EMV Payment terminals with First Data Merchant Services.

The certification allows for Worldline Xenoa and Yoneo devices equipped with the 3C Integra Payment Application to be deployed across the USA on the First Data platform.

Customers of 3C Payment and First Data across the Parking industry will benefit from fully integrated EMV contactless terminals for NFC transactions and chip only readers for card in/card out with all major card brands.

These feature rich terminals conform to the highest security standards thanks to the latest PCI PTS.3.x standard and SRED status. Furthermore, the 3C solution is PCI Point-to-Point-Encryption (P2PE) validated, and provides the most secure and effective solution to protect cardholder data.

The US is the latest country to switch from magnetic stripe to EMV-chip cards to stop rapidly rising counterfeit card fraud,” commented Paul Musgrave, Product Director of 3C Payment.

We are delighted to further enhance our offering in the US market and provide clients with secure EMV transaction flows and a P2PE solution which meets customer demand and helps reduce fraud.”

This new certification includes additional terminal features such as the capability for Offline Trading which allows merchants to continue processing transactions even in the event of a network failure. Clients will also benefit from a real-time centralized view of their transactions with a range of transaction management and reporting functions through the 3C Portal.
